Discounted Theme Park Ticket Advice:  After my last post about Universal Orlando, I'm so in the theme park mood.  You would think that I had my fill after a quick visit to Disneyland Paris a week ago, but I'm just a fun-lovin' gal!  So, here's some budget travel advice for you.  Did you know that there is a travel website where you can purchase discount Disney theme park tickets, along with discounted tickets for other great Orlando attractions?  Discounted Disney, you might say . . . are these really available, and are they legit?  Yes and Yes!  A little known fact is that Disney has an "authorized reseller" of their new, used, and discounted tix.  Undercover Tourist buys these tickets from Disney ad resells them with a slight mark-up. 

Before you buy, you might also want to check out Walt Disney World's Special Offers page, located on the official WDW website.  This is a great spot to find special vacation packages.  Happy bargain hunting!

Family Travel Girl Tip:  When comparing Undercover Tourist prices to the official Disney ticket prices, remember that Disney quotes their tickets without the 6.5% tax -- Undercover Tourist includes this tax in their price. 

Affordable Family Vacations: Free Universal Orlando Tickets

The Hulk Coaster - Universal Orlando:  I don't know about you, but with summer vacation quickly approaching, our family is thinking theme parks (and family deals to Universal), baby!  Southwest Vacations is offering 2 free Universal Orlando 2-Park Unlimited Admission tickets when you book a 4+ night package with them.  The deal is that you choose your Southwest Airlines flight, choose an on-site hotel (Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, or Hard Rock Hotel) and two free tickets get sent your way.  The Universal package deal is good for various departure dates between March 31 and August 22, 2008.  This deal makes for an affordable family vacation!  Weeeeeeeee!
