International Travel Tips: Vienna Opera House, Austria

Vienna Opera House - Wagner's Tristan und Isolde:  Just got back from two weeks of European travel, including Germany, Austria, and France.  One of the best vacation ideas while visiting Vienna on our international family vacation was to see Wagner's Tristan und Isolde at the beautiful Vienna Opera House.  Although I forgot to bring my camcorder, I found this short clip on YouTube for you to see.  Check it out -- what a wonderful venue.  The opera itself was beautifully done (but long -- nearly 5 hours including intermissions) opera.  But, even my 11-year-old son was captivated by the superb presentation. Travel tip:  Purchase your tickets online before leaving home.  The events held at the Vienna Opera House are often sold out months in advance.
